As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit— just as you were called to one hope when you were called— one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. Ephesians 4:1-6
Humility is perfect quietness of heart. It is to expect nothing, to wonder at nothing that is done to me, to feel nothing done against me. It is to be at rest when nobody praises me, and when I am blamed or despised. It is to have a blessed home in the Lord, where I can go in and shut the door and kneel to my Father in secret, and am at peace as in a deep sea of calmness, when all around and above is trouble. The humble person is not one who thinks meanly of himself, he simply does not think of himself at all. Andrew Murray
GMTB PURPOSE: To "declare the supremacy of Christ and the sufficiency of his Word to the extremities of the earth." You and I were created to discover and delight in the glory of God in the face of Christ. God reveals that glory through His inspired and infallible Book. As His Spirit opens the eyes of our hearts, we are enabled to see divine truth that is so real and wonderful that our lives are transformed into a miracle of God’s grace. We pray that the resources provided here will be used by God to give you a new, robust and radical faith in Jesus Christ and his promises. May you find Jesus so precious in his Word that you become, “homo unius libri, “a man of one Book.”
